core.W2 — every entry in .ui5-sources.php points to a UI5 project: a directory with a ui5.yaml, and for an app a webapp/manifest.json. Then, for every registered project, a notice names the strategy that resolved its sources — the first question of every debugging session.

Without a .ui5-sources.php there is no link to check. An entry whose directory is missing is an error, also in CI: the module silently falls back to its package. A pipeline either ignores the file or checks out the sibling projects.

The file is this checkout's workspace state and never belongs in git: checked in, it is an error; neither checked in nor ignored, a warning — the next git add . checks it in. Outside a git work tree, or without git, the rule says nothing about it.
